
Mississauga Steelheads Make Return to Orangeville

MISSISSAUGA, ON - The Mississauga Steelheads have announced further details for their upcoming exhibition games.
Over the Labour Day weekend, the Trout will play back-to-back games against the Guelph Storm. On Friday September 1 at 7:00 PM, the Blue-and-White will play host to the Storm at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre. Both teams will then head to the Ayr North Dumfries Community Centre for a 2:00 PM matinee on Sunday September 3. On Thursday September 7, the Steelheads will head to Barrie to take on the Colts at Sadlon Arena, in what will serve as the first of two exhibition matchups.
On Sunday September 10 at 2:00 PM., the team will be playing host to the Barrie Colts at the Alder Recreation Centre in Orangeville. This event marks the second straight season of OHL hockey in the Orangeville area, with the Steelheads hosting the Rangers this past season. Admission to the game will be $10.00 for adults, $5 for children (17 and under) at a first-come-first-serve and made possible thanks to the support of the presenting partner Jerry Gould of "The Gould Team" Remax Team.
President and Owner of the Mississauga Steelheads spoke on returning to Orangeville. "We are thrilled to be bringing back Mississauga Steelheads hockey to Orangeville. We are so excited about our group both this season and in the years to come. We absolutely love kicking off our season in front of the awesome hockey fans in Orangeville."
"We are honoured to once again host the OHL for a preseason game in our community," said Orangeville Mayor Lisa Post. "These events bring hockey fans of all ages, from all over Ontario, into our facilities to watch some of the province's best junior hockey players. We can't wait!"
The Steelheads will cap-off their exhibition season with a home-and-home against the Kitchener Rangers, with the first game taking place at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre at 7:00 PM on Thursday September 21. In the second half of back-to-back games, the team will head to Kitchener Memorial Auditorium for a 7:00 PM exhibition finale.
