
Missions Tame 'Riders with 5-1 Win

The RoughRiders fell 5-1 Saturday night from Dr Pepper Ballpark as the Missions used two long balls and solid pitching to extend their current six-game win streak.
Frisco took the early lead on�Mike Bianucci's�75th RBI of the season, a single in the first that scored Davis Stoneburner.
San Antonio retaliated with a run of their own to tie the game in the second onSawyer Carroll's�14th home run of the season.
The Padres No. 3 prospect and Missions starter�Simon Castro�worked seven innings of four-hit baseball. Castro struck out four and allowed one unearned run. He is now 4-5 on the season with the win.
The Missions took the lead for good in the third after�Jedd Gyroko�sent a two-run shot to right-center field.�Carlos Sosa's�RBI single in the fourth gave San Antonio a 4-1 advantage.
Frisco pitching walked the bases loaded in the sixth and then walked in a run to extend San Antonio's lead.
'Riders starter�Ben Snyder�worked into the seventh inning despite allowing five runs on eight hits. With the loss, Snyder falls to 8-4 on the season.
Game three of this four-game series starts at 6:05 p.m. Sunday. Right-hander�Carlos Pimentel�(4-8, 5.71) will go against the Padres No. 1 prospect�Casey Kelly�(10-4, 4.15) as the 'Riders look to inch closer to the Missions in the second half standings.
