Cardinals and Drillers Postponed due to Rain

Tulsa, OK - The recently red-hot Cardinals, fresh off a 4-2 win over Tulsa last night, looked to win for the 10th time in the last 12 games Saturday night.
But, Mother Nature had a different plan with consistent rain in the area. Game two of the series was postponed and will be made up in part of a doubleheader Sunday starting at 6:05pm. The Cardinals will send left hander John Gast to the mound against former first round pick, lefty Christian Friedrich of the Drillers at ONEOK Field. Game two looks to feature Nick Additon for Springfield against righty Rob Scahill of the Drillers.
The Cardinals will return to Hammons Field Wednesday August 10th for a six game homestand beginning with the San Antonio Missions at 7:07pm. Great tickets are still available by visiting the Hammons Field Ticket Office, online at springfieldcardinals.com or by calling (417) 863-2143.
