Tulsa Drillers News Release
Saturday night's scheduled game between the Tulsa Drillers and Springfield Cardinals was rained out. The 100-plus degree temperatures that have affected Tulsa were broken by late afternoon thunderstorms that continued into the evening. Following a two-hour wait, the game was officially called at 9:08PM when rain and lightning continued in the downtown Tulsa area.
The contest will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday at ONEOK Field. It will be a pair of scheduled 7-inning games with the first game starting at 6:05PM. Gates at ONEOK Field will open at 5:30PM.
The pitching matchups for the doubleheader will feature Christian Friedrich (6-7, 4.37 ERA) for Tulsa in game one against John Gast (3-1, 3.89 ERA) for Springfield. The second game will have Rob Scahill (8-9, 4.29 ERA) against Nick Additon (3-0, 3.04 ERA).
