
Missions' Manager Kennedy, RHP Latos, OF Durango Named to XM All-Star Futures Game Roster

SAN ANTONIO - Major League Baseball announced today that Missions manager Terry Kennedy, right-handed pitcher Mat Latos and outfielder Luis Durango have been named to the XM All-Star Futures Game Roster. The game will take place at 1:00 pm Central Time on Sunday, July 12th at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Taco Bell All-Star Sunday is the first of three days of All-Star events, culminating with the 80th All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 14th.
There are currently 190 players from the first 10 XM All-Star Futures Games in the Major Leagues, including former Missions Wladimir Balantien, Jose Lopez, Yuniesky Betancourt, Shin-Soo Choo and Felix Hernandez. The Missions were represented by right-handed pitcher Will Inman in 2008.
Each Major League organization is represented and the World Team features players from 11 different countries and territories. Kennedy and Latos will represent the U.S. Team, which will be managed by Hall of Famer and 15-time All-Star Ozzie Smith. Durango will represent the World Team, managed by St. Louis Cardinals third base coach Jose Oquendo.
