San Antonio - Rymer Liriano, Jake Blackwood and Jonathan Galvez drove in all of the Missions runs in their 8-2 victory over the Frisco RoughRiders in the first game of their four-game series Friday night at Wolff Stadium.

Frisco took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second but the Missions tied it up in their half of the inning on a Rymer Liriano RBI single that scored catcher Jason Hagerty. Two innings later Liriano laced another single to center field with the bases loaded that plated Nate Freiman and Edinson Rincon for the 3-1 San Antonio advantage.

In the fifth, RoughRiders shortstop Leury Garcia scored from second on Hagerty's attempted pick-off throw that sailed into center field making it a one-run game again.

Blackwood came up with two on in the sixth and doubled off the wall in left to give the Missions a 5-2 lead. For Blackwood it was his first RBI in his last 10 games and his first extra-base hit since June 27. San Antonio wasn't done, loading the bases again and Galvez cleared them with a double down the left field line.

Liriano went 3-for-3 in the game, extending his season-high hitting streak to five games and is batting .555 (11-for-20) with seven RBI during his streak.

Game two of the series is tomorrow night with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m., with a fireworks show to follow the game. Right-hander Barret Loux (12-1, 3.57 ERA), the Texas League leader in wins, makes the start for the RoughRiders while San Antonio will counter with Keyvius Sampson (7-8, 5.08 ERA).
