Missions Begin Six-Game Home Stand Tomorrow

San Antonio Missions News Release


San Antonio - The Missions begin a six-game home stand tomorrow with three games against the NW Arkansas Naturals (Kansas City Royals) and three against the Tulsa Drillers (Colorado Rockies). The home stand will go through Tuesday, July 12 followed by a league-wide off day on Wednesday, July 13.

San Antonio went 5-1 during their six-game road trip to improve to 9-3 in the second-half and 58-24 (.707) overall. The Missions own the best record in all of the minor leagues in terms of wins and winning percentage and are the only team in professional baseball to have won at least seventy percent of their games.

San Antonio hit 13 home runs while on the road trip, including 11 in the last three games, to bring their season total to 110 which is the third-most in the minors.

The home stand concludes with the Missions' final day game of the 2011 season. Tuesday's match-up against Tulsa will begin at 11:05 a.m. with the gates opening at 10:00 a.m.
