Fort Myers Mighty Mussels News Release
FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Lakeland Flying Tigers rode the right arm of Garrett Hill to a 6-0 win over the Fort Myers Miracle on Friday night at Hammond Stadium.
Hill (3-4) allowed just two hits across seven scoreless innings. The right-hander walked one and struck out nine.
Lakeland raced out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning on a Brady Policelli RBI double and a two-run double by Chad Sedio.
The Flying Tigers scored a run in the second on a balk before tacking on two more runs in the fourth.
Blayne Enlow (2-3) started on the mound for the Miracle and took the loss. Enlow yielded six runs (five earned) in seven innings.
Jose Miranda recorded the only two hits of the night for the Miracle and was robbed of a home run in the ninth on an outstanding catch by Sedio in left.
The series continues on Saturday night in Fort Myers. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
