
Minor League Baseball Introduces Triple-A Final Stretch "Homers That Help" Charitable Program

SYRACUSE, NY - Minor League Baseball (MiLB) announced the Triple-A Final Stretch "Homers That Help" charitable program in all 30 Triple-A cities around the country. MiLB will donate $50 for every home run hit by the Syracuse Mets during the ten-game Triple-A Final Stretch to Syracuse Challenger Baseball.
"Minor League Baseball teams have long been great community partners, and we are pleased to make a donation to each of these local charities on behalf of our Triple-A teams for their performance during the Triple-A Final Stretch," said Major League Baseball's Vice President, Minor League Operations and Development, Peter Woodfork. "These charities provide a variety of valuable services to their community, and it is our honor to recognize their efforts."
"Syracuse & Central New York are lucky to be a part of Minor League Baseball and bring not only professional baseball to the region, but also a great community partner," said Jason Smorol, Syracuse Mets General Manager. "Syracuse Challenger Baseball is a wonderful organization that supports baseball players throughout Central New York, I could not be happier to support them in their efforts."
The Syracuse Mets will play the first give games of the Final Stretch in Moosic, PA against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders from Wednesday, September 22nd to Sunday September 26th. For the final five games, the Syracuse Mets will return home to NBT Bank Stadium on Wednesday, September 29th. Syracuse Final Stretch games include:
Wednesday, September 29th - Bark in the Park, presented by Tito's Handmade Vodka
Thursday, September 30th - $1 Thursday & Jacob DeGrom vs. Pete Alonso Bobblehead giveaway (1st 2000 fans)
Friday, October 1st - Heart Health Awareness Night, Ted & Amy Bobblehead giveaway (1st 1000 fans) & post-game fireworks, presented by St. Joseph's Health
Saturday, October 2nd - STEM Night & post-game fireworks, presented by Northland Communications
Sunday October 3rd - NBT Bank Kids Eat Free Family Sunday, NYS529 Cinch Bag Giveaway & Frederick J. Karle Fan Appreciation Day
