Minnesota Wild Recalls Jordan Schroeder from Iowa

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Jordan Schroeder (pronounced SHRAY-duhr) from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL). The team also announced goaltender Darcy Kuemper (pronounced KEHM-puhr) has been placed on Injured Reserve due to a concussion.

  Schroeder, 25 (9/29/90), has tallied one goal in 11 games with Minnesota this season. He has notched 14 points (7-7=14) in 20 games with Iowa and ranks third on the team in goals. The 5-foot-9, 184-pound native of Lakeville, Minn., recorded eight points (3-5=8) and a plus-9 rating in 25 games with Minnesota last season and owns 24 points (10-14=24) and a plus-1 rating in 92 career NHL contests with Vancouver and the Wild. Schroeder was originally selected by Vancouver in the first round (22nd overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft and wears sweater No. 10 with the Wild.

  Minnesota plays the second contest of its four-game road trip tonight, visiting the Tampa Bay Lightning at 6 p.m. CT on FOX Sports North PLUS and KFAN 100.3 FM.
