LYNX IMPROVE TO 5-0
LYNX 85, DREAM 81
Candice Wiggins scored all of her 22 points in the second half, and Nicky Anosike chipped in 20 points and 12 rebounds as the Lynx outlasted Atlanta, 85-81, on Tuesday night at Philips Arena. Seven points from Betty Lennox helped the Dream to an 18-15 lead after one quarter, and Jennifer Lacy's basket pushed the margin to five early in the second. However, Minnesota held Atlanta to six points in the period en route to building a 31-24 halftime cushion. Ivory Latta's 3-pointer capped a 9-0 burst as the Dream reclaimed a 35-33 lead midway through the third, but Anosike started the Lynx on an 11-2 counter and Minnesota went in front 49-47 to start the fourth period. Wiggins sandwiched a pair of treys around a three-point play as the margin swelled to eight, but Lennox' third 3-pointer of the quarter saw Atlanta go up 74-73 with 2:37 remaining. Anosike and Lennox traded jumpers before another Wiggins trey made it 78-76 with 1:09 left and Charde Houston's free throws put the Lynx ahead to stay. Seimone Augustus finished with 19 points for Minnesota. Lennox topped the Dream with 28 points (including 19 in the fourth quarter) and eight assists, while Lacy contributed 16 points.
