NEW YORK, June 5, 2008 -- The Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and AOL's FanHouse (http://fanhouse.com), will celebrate the special connection between dads and daughters by inviting them to experience female athleticism at its best. From special ticket promotions to themed in-arena events, the WNBA Dads & Daughters presented by FanHouse will encourage dads and daughters to spend quality time together while forging a lasting bond through the game of basketball.

"The WNBA is coming off the best May in our history, and we are honored to recognize the dads and daughters who have contributed to our ongoing success," said WNBA President Donna Orender. "We are excited to dedicate June, the month celebrating fathers, to this joint partnership that will give AOL a superb level of access to our fans."

Also, in honor of Father's Day, the WNBA will create customized E-cards with an exclusive ticket offer to WNBA games to be sent to family members nationwide. Additional information on the personalized E-cards or team activities can be found at www.wnba.com. "We are happy to work with the WNBA to celebrate the special bond between fathers and daughters and recognize the impact of women in sports," said Derrick Heggans, General Manager, AOL Sports.
