Minnesota Lynx News Release
Lynx Notes
Although falling tonight to the Sparks, combined with the Indiana loss, the Lynx' "magic number" for clinching a ninth consecutive trip to the WNBA Playoffs was trimmed to four.
Lexie Brown erupted for 14 points in the fourth quarter on 4-of-8 shooting from deep in the final frame. Brown ended the night with a team-high 20 points on 6-of-14 shooting and three rebounds, her third 20+ effort of her career and the third time she's led Minnesota (20 vs. Seattle, July 18 and 21 vs. Los Angeles, June 8). She's the first Lynx player to register three 20-point outings off the bench in a season since Charde Houston (four times) accomplished that feat in 2010.
Lynx players with at least three game w/5+ 3FGM in a season:

Napheesa Collier had another efficient night in which she stuffed the stat sheet, finishing with 14 points on 7-of-12 shooting, a team-high tying seven rebounds, four assists and a game-high four steals. Tonight was Collier's second 4x4 (pts/reb/ast/stl) game of the season. Per @WBBTimeline, she's the first rookie to register multiple such games since Candace Parker in 2008.
Temi Fagbenle was the third member of the Lynx in double-figures tonight, scoring 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting while grabbing three rebounds in 24:23 minutes off the bench. Tonight marked her third double-figure scoring performance of this season.
The Lynx finished 8-of-31 from long range tonight. The 31 three-pointers attempted mark the third most in franchise history.
