
Minnesota Assigns Curry and Sutter to Iowa

DES MOINES, IA- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Thursday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned goaltender John Curry and forward Brett Sutter to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Curry, 30 (2/27/84), was recalled by Minnesota yesterday and did not appear in the Wild's 3-2 overtime loss to Boston. In 12 games with Iowa this season, he is 4-6-0 with a 3.02 goals against average (GAA) and .911 save percentage (SV%), including 3-1-0 with a 2.12 GAA and .934 SV% in his last four starts. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound native of Shorewood, Minn., is 3-2-0 with a 3.55 GAA and a .893 SV% in six career NHL games with Pittsburgh and Minnesota.
Sutter, 27 (6/2/87), was recalled by Minnesota on Monday and collected one assist and four penalty minutes (PIM) in two games with the Wild. He has tallied 14 points (5-914) in 26 games with Iowa this season. The 6-foot, 200-pound native of Viking, Alta., has tallied eight points (2-68) and 40 PIM in 56 career NHL games with the Calgary Flames, Carolina Hurricanes and Minnesota.
After a road game at Chicago on Saturday, the Wild returns home for its final home game prior to the holiday break. The Wild and Wolves will play at Wells Fargo Arena on Sunday at 3 p.m. The game is a Subway Family Four Pack game, where fans may purchase four tickets, four sodas, four hot dogs and four Subway coupons, starting at just $48.
