
IceCaps Sign Defenceman Ryan Parent to PTO

The St. John's IceCaps announced they have signed defenceman Ryan Parent to a professional tryout contract.
Parent, 27, has played four games with the Ontario Reign (ECHL) this season, collecting one assist. Last season, the blueliner played 26 games with the Norfolk Admirals (AHL), notching three assists and 26 penalty minutes to go along with four penalty minutes in five playoff games.
For his career, the former Nashville Predators first round pick has played in 106 NHL games with the Philadelphia Flyers and Vancouver Canucks as well as 217 AHL games with the Milwaukee Admirals, Philadelphia Phantoms, Manitoba Moose, Chicago Wolves, and Norfolk Admirals.
