Miller Named Sher-Wood Hockey Player Of The Week

Las Vegas, NV - The ECHL announced today that Adam Miller is the Sher-wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Nov. 30-Dec. 6.

In a three-game sweep of the Victoria Salmon Kings (December 1st, 3rd and 4th), the 25-year old contributed seven points (3g-4a) and had a plus-minus rating of +2. The Livonia, Michigan, native had at least one point in each game. He scored his second career hat trick, including a power-play goal and the game-winning goal, and tied his career regular season high with four points in a 7-5 win on December 3rd. Miller leads the Wranglers with eight goals, three power-play goals and 19 points, and is tied for the team lead with 11 assists.

Currently in his third season with Las Vegas, the speedy forward has totaled 71 points (24g-47a) and 71 penalty minutes in 85 regular season games and 29 points (8g-21a) and 34 penalty minutes in 28 Kelly Cup Playoff games, including a team record-tying five points (2g-3a) on April 25, 2008, against Alaska. He has also played in the American Hockey League, where he has one goal and six penalty minutes in 10 games with Milwaukee.

Miller played four seasons at Ferris State University, where he had 77 points (30g-47a) and 76 penalty minutes in 146 games from 2004-08.

On behalf of Adam Miller, a case of pucks will be donated to a Las Vegas youth hockey organization by Sher-wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-wood Hockey has donated more than 23,100 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
