Condors Welcome The Oakland Raiderettes On Friday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The first-place Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, return to action on the Mercy and Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena with a two-game set against the Utah Grizzlies this weekend. The Condors look to extend their home winning streak to nine game when they host the Oakland Raiderettes for Friday's game, while Saturday features Pearl Harbor Jersey Raffle & Auction. Both games begin at 7 p.m., the doors open at 6 p.m.

The Oakland Raiderettes, presented by ABC23, 98.5 The Fox and Cal Water, return to Bakersfield to grace the ice on Friday. The pride of Raider Nation, Ariel, Asha, Jorna, Katie, Mandy (pictured, right) and Tiphanie will perform their must-see routines during both intermissions, and will also be available for pictures and autographs on the concourse prior to the drop of the puck and during the game. In addition, ABC23, SC Architect & Kern County Firefighters present Condors Classroom Champions, dedicated to providing complimentary tickets to students who achieve outstanding attendance levels in school.

On Saturday, it's Pearl Harbor Jersey Raffle & Auction, sponsored by KUZZ 107.9, American Business Machines and Bud Light. All fans in attendance are eligible to win one of the five game-issued specialty jerseys through a raffle drawing. Plus, during the first intermission and at the end of the game, the remaining jerseys will be auctioned off live on the ice. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the California Brain Injury Association.

The sky blue jerseys are being worn to honor all veterans, with the design specifically geared towards Pearl Harbor and World War II. The front of the jersey depicts the USS Arizona Memorial and is inscribed with the date "December 7, 1941" and President Franklin Roosevelt's famous quote, "A date which will live in infamy." The condor on the front logo is wearing a navy hat while clutching an American flag with "United States" written in place of "Bakersfield." The back features the Iwo Jima Memorial, dedicated to all United States Marine Corps, who have died in battle. The state names in half tones on the tattered flag on the jersey sleeve, which flew over Pearl Harbor that fateful day, are the names of the eight battleships of the US Pacific Fleet that were docked at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. All received extensive damage that day, and all of the battleships, except the Oklahoma and Arizona were able to be repaired and returned to action.

Saturday is also a Condors Kids Club Game, presented by Bright House Networks, Bakersfield Californian and Wells Fargo Bank, where all Kids Club members receive free admission to the game as part of their membership. In addition, it's a Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge (T.H.I.N.K.) Night, presented by Mercy & Memorial Hospitals, Wells Fargo Bank and Diamond Technologies, a program dedicated to providing complimentary tickets to students for exceptional performance in school. The first intermission Saturday will feature a tribute to War Veterans, who will be on-ice for a special video presentation. During the second intermission, Frontier High School's Cheerleading Squad will perform, following the Barber Honda and Bakersfield Californian Chuck-A-Puck.

Following every game, Condors players will be at the Bakersfield Marriott Autograph Booth, located on the arena concourse behind section 108. RW Erick Lizon and RW Nick Kemp will be at the booth on Friday and LW Shawn Weller and LW Ryan Donally will be there on Saturday. The players will arrive at the booth approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game to meet fans and sign autographs.

All Condors games can be heard live on ESPN 1230, or through live streaming on B2 Networks and www.bakersfieldcondors.com. Log on to www.espnbakersfield.com or www.bakersfieldcondors.com to listen from the drop of the puck. Saturday's game will be televised live on Bright House Networks Ch. 21. All BHN games are available starting the following day on Ch. 300, Bakersfield On Demand, and will be posted until the end of the season.

Ticket Information:

The Condors have announced a special group outing bonus deal. Any group of 20 or more that purchases tickets to a game in December, will receive the same number of tickets of equal or lesser value to any Sunday through Thursday game for the rest of the season. So if your group gets together 20+ people for the Friday, Dec. 11, Saturday, Dec. 12 or Saturday. Dec. 26 game, those 20+ people can go to the Tuesday, March 30 game (or any other Sunday-Thursday game) for FREE as the Condors are making a push for the Kelly Cup playoffs. It's that's simple!

Individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days.
