Elmira Jackals News Release
Coming off a weekend in which the Jackals dropped three games - one to the Charlotte Checkers and two to the South Carolina Stingrays - the Elmira Jackals will look to get back into the win column with a Friday road game at Johnstown, followed by Saturday and Sunday contests at Toledo.
For the first time in 2009-2010, the Jackals enter a new week outside of the top spot in the American East Division. The Jackals begin the ECHL's tenth week of 2009-2010 in the second spot in the division, trailing the first-place Reading Royals by five points.
LOOKING GOOD IN DEBUT
Goaltender Pier-Olivier Pelletier made 18 saves on 21 Stingrays shots in his professional debut on Sunday. The St. Louis-du-Ha! Ha!, Quebec native was with Bakersfield at the beginning of 2009-2010 and was brought into Elmira as an emergency backup goaltender before signing a contract with the Jackals on Sunday.
