Cedar Rapids, IA - Cedar Rapids RoughRiders defenseman Jack Millar was named defenseman of the week today by the United States Hockey League.
The RoughRiders won a pair of games over the USA Hockey National Team Development Program U17 team this past weekend.
Millar had a goal and two assists in Friday's 8-4 win and added another assist on Saturday as the RoughRiders won 5-1. The Colorado College commit was a +7 on the weekend.
"Happy for Jackson," said RoughRiders Head Coach and Team President Mark Carlson. "He's grown immensely on and off the ice over the last 13 months and he worked extremely hard this off-season. Excited to watch his continued development this season."
The RoughRiders, who have begun the season 4-0, return to The Stable this Friday night against the Waterloo Black Hawks in a Dupaco Community Credit Union Cowbell Cup matchup. Puck drops at 7:05 pm.
