SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Milwaukee Milkmen lost to the Sioux Falls Canaries in the final game of their three-game series at Sioux Falls Stadium.

The Milkmen outhit the Canaries 7-5 but were unable to drive any runs home during the game. Rudy Martin Jr. led the team in hits with singles in the fifth and eighth innings.

Juan Echevarria started on the mound for Milwaukee and was able to finish his day by going six innings and allowing just one run on three base hits and two strikeouts. Newest Milkmen member Kyle Johnson also made his first appearance on the mound for the team.

"He's another arm for the bullpen that we need," Milkmen manager said of Johnson's addition to the team. "He's a guy with good velocity so we're hoping he can help us out at the end of games."

Milwaukee battled hard but by the final out, Sioux Falls took the game 6-0.

The Milkmen will now take a day off to travel back home before starting a three-game series in Kane County on Tuesday. They will then return to Franklin Field to start another series against the Lake Country DockHounds Friday. We hope to see you soon!
