
Mikki Moore Signs with Stampede

BOISE, Idaho, January 9, 2012 - The Idaho Stampede acquired former NBA star Mikki Moore as a free agent, the club announced today.
Moore (6-11, 225, Nebraska) played 12 seasons in the NBA after going undrafted, beginning in 1998-99 with the Detroit Pistons. Moore also played with Boston, Atlanta, New Jersey, Utah, Los Angeles Clippers, Seattle, Sacramento and Golden State. Born Nov. 4, 1975, Moore played 557 games (181 starts) in the NBA, averaging 5.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Moore, while with the New Jersey Nets in 2006-07, averaged 9.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, while leading the NBA in field goal percentage (60.9).
Before the 2011-12 NBA season, Moore was in training camp with the Memphis Grizzlies. Moore also played in the CBA and NBA D-League, making the CBA All-Rookie team in 1997-98 and All-NBA D-League first team and Defensive Player of the Year in 2002-03.
While at the University of Nebraska, he averaged 8.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 114 games in four seasons from 1993-97.
The Stampede roster stands at 12, after waiving Reggie Larry and David Bailey due to injury.
