
Mike Burgoyne Returns For Second Season

FRASER, MI- The Motor City Mechanics, proud members of the United Hockey League (UHL) are pleased to announce the re-signing of Forward, Mike Burgoyne.
Burgoyne, 24, spent parts of the 2004-05 season with three different UHL teams before finding a home at the Garage.
After starting the season in Quad City, Burgoyne was acquired in a January 14th trade and then was reacquired from Rockford after being waived by the Mechanics mid season. Once Burgoyne was reacquired he tallied 14 points in 30 games played with the Mechanics.
"Mike is a young guy but showed signs of being great towards the end of last season," said Mechanics Head Coach, Danton Cole. "He will be a great asset to the team this upcoming season."
The Mechanics now have five players signed for the 2005-06 season. All-Star Defenseman, Kevin Hansen, former Michigan State Spartan Defenseman, Chris Bogas, Center, Chris Gignac and Right Wing, Konstantin Kalmikov are all under contract for the upcoming season.
The Mechanics open the 2005-06 season October 21st when they visit the Missouri River Otters and come join the Mechanics when they open up at home against the Kalamazoo Wings on Friday October 28th.
