Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
The Pawtucket Red Sox are one game away from tying a ten year old franchise record for consecutive wins after coming from behind to beat Rochester 6-5 on Tuesday night at McCoy. It was the eighth straight for the PawSox and the sixth straight over the Red Wings. The Sox parlayed home runs by Bubba Bell, Lars Anderson and Aaron Bates into a victory. Bell and Anderson clobbered solo shots and Bates hammered a three run blast to straightaway centerfield. Dusty Brown's second double of the game knocked home the final run for the PawSox.
Fabio Castro got the victory to improve to 7-9 for the year. Michael Bowden, Tommy Hottovy and Chad Paronto held the Wings at bay until Fernando Cabrera came in and got his 20th save for Pawtucket.
Pawtucket can tie the team mark set in 2000 with a win on Wednesday night against Lehigh Valley. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Drew Carpenter (7-11, 4.16) faces Ramon Ramirez (4-4, 5.15).
