Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The fifth-place IronPigs (54-83) play the finale of a two-game series against the first-place Scranton/WB Yankees (82-53) -- New York's top affiliate -- who just clinched the IL North Championship* on Sunday... With a come-from-behind 8-7 win last night, the Pigs have won two of three since a five-game losing streak. Still, the Pigs are just 10-25 (.286) in their last 35 affairs... Even after the loss, Scranton/WB has won 10 of its last 12 contests and -- since a season-high, four-game losing streak 7/21-7/24 -- the Yanks have gone 25-9 (.735) in their last 34 games.
LHP Nate Robertson (0-1, 7.71) will start for LHV against RHP Lance Pendleton (2-0, 3.86).
First-pitch is at 7:05 p.m. for 2011 IronPigs Magnet Schedule Giveaway, presented by Sacred Heart Hospital.
WITH A WIN TONIGHT, THE PIGS WILL...:
* Sweep a series from SWB for the first time in LHV history... It would also be just their 2nd true series win vs. the Yanks.
