Midfielder Luke Rooney Named to USL Team of the Week

The United Soccer League announced today that Arizona United Soccer Club midfielder Luke Rooney has been named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 4 of the 2016 season. Rooney is the first player to make the league's Team of the Week in 2016. Forward Chris Cortez was an honorable mention selection in Week 2 of the season.

Rooney was recognized for his performance in Arizona United SC's 1-0 win over Real Monarchs SLC. It was the first lost of the season for the Monarchs. Rooney provided the assist on Tyler Blackwood's game-winning goal.

Arizona United SC plays its USL home opener on Saturday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. against Portland Timbers 2. Tickets for the match are still available and can be purchased at ArizonaUnited.com. All reserved seating is just $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 years old and younger.
