Instead, they will be next door at FNB Field to offer a unique exciting venue to show off their local and international talents to the ever loyal Islanders' fan base, who will have a lot of attractions to look forward to in 2016.
First, fans will have a variety of seating options available to choose from. Tickets are $14 for adult general admission and $8 for youth tickets in advance and one dollar more the day of the match. Reserve your seat today!
All fans who come to the Islanders highly anticipated home opener will receive a free insulated water bottle koozie from Capital BlueCross. During the game there will be t-shirt launches, halftime activities and other contests that will make the game that much more exciting. As always, our loyal and deserving youth fans will have access to activities in our expanded "Tiki's Soccer Resort" until the end of the match.
The night will start off with a special ribbon cutting at the newly placed nets with City Islander's ownership group, Mayor Papenfuse, Dauphin County Commissioners Jeff Haste and George Hartwick doing the honors. Harrisburg Senators President, Kevin Kulp will be performing the "first kick". Finally, we will show off another aspect that will enhance the fan experience each and every game--the jumbotron. ABC Channel 27's Gregg Mace will present a video on the screen to recap 13 years of Islanders' soccer on City Island, Harrisburg.
As always, fans will have access to "Tiki's Cove" with activities for our loyal and deserving youth fans!
In those 13 years the Islanders have brought a championship to the city, drove in record crowds and made history by assisting in jump-starting the partnership between USL and MLS teams.
Key games this year include the continuance of the Keystone Derby Cup, the riveting rivalry between City and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. A new possible rival in Bethlehem Steel FC along with old USL opponents like Rochester and Richmond.
This season, three of the 10 games at FNB Field will feature post-game fireworks. The first of the season will be June 24 presented by Highmark, the second is July 29 presented by Pyrotechnics and the final will come August 27 presented by Dauphin County.
With so much happening there is bound to be something for any member of the family at FNB Field. Come out and support your hometown professional soccer team in the home opener and throughout the 2016 campaign.
