Orange County Blues FC Midfielder Didier Crettenand

TAMPA, Fla. - The USL has announced its Team of the Week for Week 4 of the 2016 season, and it features OC Blues midfielder Didier Crettenand for the second straight time.
Crettenand gave the OC Blues their first win of the campaign on Saturday night when he converted a penalty in the 37th minute to give his side a 1-0 lead over San Antonio FC. The Blues' strong defense would hold on to hand expansion side San Antonio their first lost in the young franchise's history.
The native of Martigny, Switzerland has now scored two goals in as many matches. He was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 3 after scoring a sublime free kick that brought the Blues level with first place LA Galaxy II in the first edition of the I-405 Derby on April 8 at StubHub Center.
Four matches into his second year in Orange County, Crettenand continues to show his veteran leadership in the midfield. The Blues look to continue their good run of form on Wednesday night when they host Portland Timbers 2 at 7:30pm at Anteater Stadium. T2 surely will remember Crettenand from 2015, when he scored one of the USL's greatest goals of the season with a beautiful bending strike from 35 yards out at Providence Park.
