
Midfielder Ian Westlake Waived

MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Monday that the team has waived English midfielder Ian Westlake.
After joining the team midway through the 2011 season, Westlake had signed a contract to join the Impact in MLS on December 5.
The Impact will play its first MLS game on March 10 at 6pm (ET), at BC Place, in Vancouver, against the Whitecaps. The team will then play its home opener at Olympic Stadium on March 17, against the Chicago Fire, at 2pm (ET).
