LANSING, Mich. -- TinCaps center fielder Jakob Marsee (No. 12 Padres prospect) had two hits, including an RBI single, but the Lansing Lugnuts (Oakland A's affiliate) won, 10-1, on Saturday night at Jackson Field. The 'Nuts scored seven runs in the eighth to pull away late.

Lansing (17-24, 48-58) took a 1-0 lead in the second on an RBI single by third baseman T.J. Schofield-Sam. In the fifth, the Lugnuts extended their lead to 3-0 as designated hitter Daniel Susac (No. 7 A's prospect) belted a two-run homer to left-center field.

Fort Wayne (22-19, 54-53) got on the board in the eighth when right fielder Joshua Mears was hit by a pitch and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Marsee then singled him in with a knock to center. The 22-year-old who grew up in the Detroit area is on a 17-game on-base streak, hitting safely in eight consecutive games.
