Michael Curtis and Austen Brassard Named to OHL All-Rookie Teams

Belleville Bulls forwards Michael Curtis and Austen Brassard have each been named to the 2009-2010 OHL All-Rookie Second Team. The pair are the first Bulls rookies to be named to an All-Rookie team since Bryan Cameron and Sebastian Dahm did so for the 2005-2006 season.

Brassard joined the Bulls in January following a trade with the Windsor Spitfires. In 26 games with Belleville, Brassard recorded six goals and eleven assists. The Windsor, Ontario native finished the season with 10 goals while adding 19 assists and 45 penalty minutes in 63 games played. Brassard was drafted by the Spitfires in the first round of the 2009 OHL Priority Selection.

Curtis was taken by Belleville in the second round of the 2009 OHL Priority Selection and finished his freshman OHL season with 19 goals and 24 points in 67 games played. The Mississauga, Ontario native finished tied for fourth in OHL goals scored by a rookie this season.
