Canadian Hockey League And Chrysler Canada Announce National Partnership

Published on April 8, 2010 under Ontario Hockey League (OHL) News Release

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League (CHL) in association with Chrysler Canada are proud to announce the launch of a National Partnership for the duration of the 2009-10 CHL season which includes the 2010 CHL Playoffs and the 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup.

To launch this partnership, a Dodge Caravan Kids promotional night program will be executed through the balance of the season across various CHL markets including three games at the MasterCard Memorial Cup in Brandon, MB, May 14-23, 2010. This promotion will provide local Dodge Caravan Kids minor hockey teams the opportunity to experience a CHL game with their families, attend a pre-game locker room tour, post-game autograph session, as well as the chance to show their stuff to CHL fans during an on-ice scrimmage during the intermission.

"On behalf of the Canadian Hockey League we are very excited to welcome Chrysler Canada as a new National Partner," said CHL President David Branch. "Both the CHL and Chrysler have been longstanding fixtures in communities across Canada and we look forward to building this partnership through their involvement in the 2010 CHL Playoffs and with our prestigious National Championship the MasterCard Memorial Cup."

''The Dodge Caravan Kids program is our way of sharing the great game of hockey with young boys and girls,'' said Reid Bigland, President and CEO, Chrysler Canada. ''We are very pleased that this new partnership with the Canadian Hockey League will allow families to see the "best of the best" Junior Hockey our country has to offer and impress upon the youth of Canada that with hard work and dedication, dreams can come true.''

Chrysler becomes the official automotive sponsor of the Canadian Hockey League. Look for a Chrysler presence in CHL arenas throughout the 2010 playoffs!
