
Akeson, Landeskog and MacKinnon each score two in 8-4 win over Knights

The Kitchener Rangers take a 3-2 series lead over the London Knights after claiming their second eight goal game in two days. The Rangers doubled up the Knights 8-4.
Gabriel Landeskog, Chris MacKinnon and Jason Akeson each scored two goals with Dan Kelly, and Matt Tipoff each netting one goal in the win.
Landeskog and Jared Knight exchanged goals by 7:40 of the first period to tie the game 1-1. Kitchener went on to score three unanswered goals to close scoring in the period 4-1. Goals were from MacKinnon, Kelly and Akeson.
51-seconds in to the second period, London's Kalle Ekelund buried a short-handed goal to bring the Knights within two. Akeson replied with his second goal of the game to restore the Rangers three goal lead and make it 5-2. MacKinnon followed up with his second of the game to advance Kitchener 6-2 by the 12:45 mark.
The Rangers and Knights exchanged goals in the third period. Seth Griffith opened up the scoring in the third period to tighten the gap 6-3 for London. Landeskog answered back on the Rangers power play making it 7-3. Justin Taylor then scored for the Knights and Tipoff closed scoring in the game with 10-seconds remaining to end the game 8-4.
The Rangers return to The Aud for game six on Saturday, April 10th at 7:00pm. If necessary they will travel to London for game seven on Monday, April 12th for a 7:00pm start.
A reminder to season ticket holders that all unclaimed tickets for Saturday's game will be released on Saturday, April 10th at 10am.
