
Mets Promote Bisons Catcher Mike Nickeas

Buffalo Bisons News Release
The New York Mets today announced they selected the contract of C MIKE NICKEAS from the Bisons. Nickeas will be available for New York's game in Atlanta tonight.
Nickeas, 27, spent most of the 2010 season with Double-A Binghamton, but was promoted to the Bisons on August 25. In seven games with the Herd, the backstop hit .214 (6-28) with a double and a run scored. This is Nickeas' first trip to the major leagues.
With the Binghamton Mets, Nickeas hit .283 (75-265) with five home runs and 33 RBI in 82 games.
