Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
The PawSox returned to their winning ways on Thursday night at McCoy, shading Lehigh Valley 2-1. Kris Johnson won his second straight game to improve to 6-13. He has thrown 11 straight shutout innings. Robert Coello notched 6 strikeouts in his 2 innings of relief and Fernando Cabrera earned his 21st save in the win.
Josh Reddick extended his hitting streak to 11 games with a solo homer, his seventeenth of the year. Mark Wagner accounted for the other score with a sacrifice fly. The PawSox have now won 9 of their last 10 outings.
The club hits the road for the final two away games of the season. They'll be played in Moosic, Pa. Game one against the Yankees is scheduled for Friday at 7:05 p.m. Adam Mills faces D.J. Mitchell.
