
Mercury Sign Kaela Davis to Hardship Contract

PHOENIX - The three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury today announced the signing of forward Kaela Davis to a hardship contract.
Davis, a 6-2 forward, has spent time with the Dallas Wings (2017-2019) and the Atlanta Dream (2020). She last appeared in two games of the 2020 regular season with the Dream, averaging 14.0 minutes and 5.6 points per game. Prior to playing with the Dream in the 2020 season, Davis was drafted by the Dallas Wings with the 10th overall pick in the 2017 WNBA draft. Davis spent three seasons with the Wings, starting 16 games during the 2019 season while averaging 5.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.
Davis will be available Friday, July 22 when the Phoenix Mercury take on the Seattle Storm at Footprint Center at 7:00pm PT. An updated roster is attached.
Led by the 2021 Olympic gold-medal winning duo of Diana Taurasi and Skylar Diggins-Smith and coming off the club's fifth WNBA Finals appearance in franchise history, the three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury return to Phoenix this summer as the duo attempts to lead the Mercury to a WNBA-record tying fourth championship in 2022.
