MOBILE, Ala. (July 29) - Prior to tonight's contests between the Mobile BayBears and Tennessee Smokies at Hank Aaron Stadium, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the BayBears have made the following roster moves. C Orlando Mercado returns to the BayBears after hitting .289 in 17 games for Triple-A Reno. Mercado was there after Luke Carlin was called up to Phoenix to replace the injured Chris Snyder. Prior to his call-up, Orlando was hitting .304 with 1 home run and 31 RBI. To make room for Mercado, C Chris Davis has been reassigned to Single-A South Bend after only appearing in three games for the BayBears. The BayBears now have 24 active players with 2 on the disabled list and 1 on rehab....
