MOBILE, Ala. (June 23) - Prior to tonight's contest between the Mobile BayBears and the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx at Hank Aaron Stadium, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the BayBears have made the following roster move. C Orlando Mercado has been promoted to Triple-A Reno. Mercado hit .304 for the BayBears this season while knocking in 31 runs. He was in his second season with the BayBears and had become a fan favorite in Mobile. He had a hit and an RBI in the BayBears' 7-6 win over West Tenn last night. The BayBears also have a couple of jersey number changes. Bryan Byrne has switched from 8 to 9 while Josh Ellis has switched from 9 to 27. The BayBears now have 23 active players and 1 on the disabled list.
