Huntsville Stars News Release
The second of the five Lucky card Sets was purchased at the team store last night. The winner received use of a skybox for a Stars game later this season. Also claimed a week ago was a game worn jersey.
For those new to our newsletter, five specially marked packs of the Huntsville Stars 2008 baseball cards have prizes associated with them. The lucky fan who purchases a winning set will receive the corresponding prize. The three prizes not yet claimed are: -A team-autographed baseball -Two (2) 2010 Season Tickets -One (1) Huntsville Stars ticket for life.
There is no limit to the card sets you can purchase and you can check the winning numbers right on the spot. Each card set has a hologram with a serial number. Winning numbers are available at the team store. The number of these collectible card sets is dwindling. If you ever wanted to have a team set that was loaded for bear (10 All-Stars were in this set), this set is one to put away from the kids or grandkids. First come, first served, no limits on sets you can buy and when they're gone, they're gone.
There is space in the CenturyTel Picnic Patio for any group that wishes to have a memorable 4th of July. You can have an all-you-can-eat picnic for three hours, first place Stars baseball against the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx, post-game fireworks courtesy of Comcast, the official cable provider of the Huntsville Stars and then a Diamond Dig, presented by Alexander's jewelers. I know, on July 4th you have this tradition of hauling a grill, charcoal, lighter, a cooler full of meat and drinks, the chairs, the tent for shade and the family down to some park. You get hosed setting it all up, cooking, cleaning, entertaining, yadda yadda yadda...and every year you grumble about the hassle and when you finally do the math you realize it's less expensive and a lot less hassle to just let somebody else do your dirty work.
If you're tired of all the mess and the hassle, pick up the phone and call (256) 882-2562 and ask for the ticket office. One affordable price gets you a ticket and all you can eat/drink. For complete details make that call today. Space is limited and must be reserved in advance.
On a sad note today, Outfielder Drew Anderson's mother passed away last night. The entire Huntsville Stars extended family - from players and coaches to the staff to the fans that support this team every day - send our deepest condolences to the Anderson family. You're all in our thoughts and prayers.
