MEMPHIS, Tennessee - Memphis 901 FC aims for its first win at home Saturday night as the club hosts the Charleston Battery.

Kickoff for Saturday's match is slated for a 7:00 p.m. inside AutoZone Park.

Memphis (1-4-2, 5 pts) is coming off its bye week recharged, ready to face another Eastern Conference opponent.

Though Memphis and Charleston (3-1-2, 11 pts) have never met, they share a few connections.

Striker Heviel Cordovés, who announced his retirement Friday, played for both squads during a prolific six-year career in the USL Championship. His 36 goals are the most by a Cuban player in league history. Cordovés will serve as 901 FC's honorary captain tomorrow and will be presented with a signed jersey by both head coaches.

Memphis Sporting Director Andrew Bell was President of the Charleston Battery when Cordovés signed his first U.S. contract in Charleston. Bell enjoyed a successful tenure that spanned nearly two decades with the Battery before playing an integral role in starting Memphis 901 FC.

Now both clubs meet, fighting for three key points as the early half of the season ticks on.

Memphis has added a few key pieces since the club was last at AutoZone Park with veteran forward Jochen Graf and standout midfielder Cam Lindley joining the squad. Lindley, a member of the United States U-23 men's national team, sparkled in his debut against Nashville SC, completing 90 percent of his passes and showing a knack for connecting the defense and attacking core.

Charleston is coming off a 3-1 win over Nashville and have climbed up to sixth in the Eastern Conference standings. The club is led by striker Ian Svantesson, who has three goals on the season.

All of the action gets started at 5:30 p.m. when gates open and a special guest will take part in Memphis' newest tradition. Memphis Tigers great and former NFL running back DeAngelo Williams will be the guest of honor to smash a guitar in front of the Bluff City Mafia prior to kickoff.

Williams was an All-Pro and Pro Bowler in the NFL after setting multiple records at Memphis. He led the league in rushing touchdowns in 2008 and 2015.

Fans can see the Tigers legend in person Saturday night with single match tickets available online or at the AutoZone Park box office.

Season tickets, group tickets, and 7 Match Flex Plans are also available, with full season tickets starting at just $10 per match. Call (901) 721-6000 or go to www.memphis901fc.com/tickets for more information on all ticket options.
