Nashville SC Staff to Hand out Water to Runners at St. Jude Rock 'N' Roll Nashville Marathon
April 26, 2019 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Nashville SC News Release
NASHVILLE - While hundreds of thousands of NFL fans will pack into Broadway for the NFL Draft, thousands of runners will be making a 26.2-mile, or 13.1-mile trek through the streets of Nashville for the Rock N' Roll Nashville Marathon on Saturday, April 27.
Whether you're a runner or just a spectator looking for friends and family on the route, be sure to say hi to our Nashville Soccer Club staff at the water station along Demonbreun St. near 14th Ave. For the second year in a row, we will be out there bright and early handing out water to help energize runners on their long dash for the finish line.
The station will be in the early portion of the race around the 1.5 mile post just over the I-40 overpass on Demonbreun St near Buddy Killen Circle. The runners will be making their way over the overpass and up the hill towards the circle before moving onto 17th avenue.
Part of the marathon course also loops through Nashville SC's current home, First Tennessee Park, and finishes in the shadows of Nashville SC's temporary MLS home starting in 2020, Nissan Stadium.
After the marathon wraps up, the fun doesn't stop for Nashville SC. We will be out at Noble's Kitchen and Beer Hall Saturday night for an official watch party as the Boys in Gold take on Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. The party will start at 5:30 PM with kickoff at 6 PM. We'll be giving away prizes, including shirts, scarves and tickets to an upcoming match.
