
Meet the Monarchs: Inaugural USL Team Unveiled Tonight

SANDY, UT (Friday, March 6, 2015) - Local Media are invited to Rio Tinto Stadium TONIGHT at 8:00 p.m. MT to attend the Inaugural Real Monarchs launch event, including the unveiling of uniforms, player-by-player introductions as well as a special presentation featuring the signing of a local player to a 2015 USL contract.
The Monarchs will take the field for the first time this week, traveling to road exhibitions against local colleges. Saturday at 3:00 p.m. MT, the USL club heads north to face Weber State, while Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. MT, the Monarchs head south to face Utah Valley University.

Earlier this week, Real Salt Lake / USL Monarchs Owner Dell Loy Hansen revealed plans to develop an 8,000-seat, $23 million stadium in West Valley City, entering into an exclusive 60-day Letter of Intent with Utah's second-largest city. Located near the Maverik Center, the Stadium would open in Summer of 2016, pending final agreement on terms with West Valley City.
The USL Monarchs kick off their inaugural season with two road games in late March at Los Angeles and at Portland before playing their first-ever home game on Wednesday, April 8, at 7:00 p.m. MT at Rio Tinto Stadium against Timbers 2.
