Saskatoon, SK- The Victoria Royals' Regan Nagy recorded a hat-trick and an assist to propel the club to a 7-2 victory over the Saskatoon Blades on Tuesday night at the SaskTel Centre.

Notes:

Milestone Man - With a goal and an assist tonight, Tyler Soy surpassed the 250-point benchmark in his WHL career. Soy has tallied 251 points (121g-130a) in 266 career contests. The 1997-born forward is 13 points away from tying the franchise record for most career points at 264. The mark is held by Brandon Magee who scored 264 points (113g-151a) over 318 games with Victoria and the Chilliwack Bruins.

Century Club - With a shorthanded marker tonight, Victoria's Matthew Phillips scored the 100th goal of his WHL career. This marks that Phillips became the fastest player in franchise history to reach the 100-goal plateau as he accomplished the feat in 158 contests. The tally was also the club's league-leading sixth shorthanded marker of the season.

Hat Trick Hero - Royals' forward Regan Nagy recorded his second hat-trick of the season. This marks Victoria's fourth hat-trick of the 2017-18 campaign.

On Fire - A pair of Royals extended their point streaks in tonight's game. Phillips has now recorded 29 points (12g-17a) over 14 games and has tied the franchise mark set by Mark Santorelli in 2006 with Chilliwack. Jared Legien tallied a marker and has now earned five points (3g-2a) in five successive games. Dante Hannoun has registered points (1g-3a) in his last three contests.

Fort Saskatchewan Friends - Forwards' Eric Florchuk (Victoria) and Kirby Dach (Saskatoon) played two seasons (2013-15) together for the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers Bantam AAA. The Fort Saskatchewan, AB natives both also suited up for the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers Midget AAA during the 2015-16 campaign.

Hometown Boy - Saskatoon native and Royals' blueliner Matthew Smith, who registered an assist, played in his hometown tonight.

Next On The Agenda - Victoria will conclude their season-long seven-game road trip tomorrow night in Prince Albert against the Raiders. Puck drop is slated for 6:05 p.m. PDT at the Art Hauser Centre. The Royals will return home this weekend to face the Vancouver Giants on Saturday and Sunday. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. on Saturday and 3:05 p.m. on Sunday.
