Spokane, WA- The Victoria Royals earned a 1-0 victory over the Spokane Chiefs on Friday night as netminder Griffen Outhouse made 19 saves to set the new club record for most career shutouts.

Record Breaker - With his win tonight, netminder Griffen Outhouse recorded his ninth career WHL shutout, and passed alumnus Coleman Vollrath for the most in Victoria history. The franchise record is held by former Chilliwack Bruin Lucas Gore who earned 10 shutouts.
Royals' History - The last time the Royals played in a 1-0 game was on September 30, 2016 against the Kamloops Blazers. Matthew Phillips scored the game winner.
Players to Watch - Recently, NHL Central Scouting released their November Players to Watch list for the 2018 NHL Draft. The Royals are represented by Eric Florchuk, Ryan Peckford and Dean McNabb, all of who are "C-rated" players. Spokane's Ty Smith is "A-rated", while Filip Kral and Dawson Weatherill are "C-rated".
Mr. 250 - Victoria forward Regan Nagy played in his 250th WHL game tonight. The Ogema, SK native has earned 96 points (49g-47a) over five seasons, all with the Royals.
Pair of Kings - A pair of Los Angeles Kings prospects played against each other tonight. The Royals' Chaz Reddekopp was selected by the Kings in Round 7, 187th overall, in 2015, while the Chiefs' Jaret Anderson-Dolan was drafted by LA in Round 2, 41st overall, in 2017.
Next Game - The Royals are back in action tomorrow night when they face the Tri-City Americans. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, WA. Victoria returns to the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre next week to face off against the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Tuesday, November 21st.
