
Mechanics Win Thriller In Shootout 3-2

FRASER, MI-The Mechanics come back from a one goal deficit in the third to take the game into a shootout and win 3-2 in the shootout in front of 1,552 fans at the "Garage."
Mike Burgoyne started the scoring for the Mechanics in the first, however, the Generals would respond with two unanswered goals to take a 2-1 advantage into the third period.
Just 1:10 into the third period Matt Smith would tie the game for the Mechanics. Both teams shut down defesnsively and thwarted all opposing scoring chances for the remainder of the game.
In the shootout the Generals took the early 1-0 lead, however Adam Edinger would tie it at one with his own goal. In round four the Generals would score again and once again the Mechanics responded with another goal, this time by Player/Assistant coach, Greg Bullock. Bill Ruggiero would stop the next Flint chance and then Herring beat the Generals goalie for the game winner.
The Mechanics have two more games at home before a short break for Christmas. This Wednesday and Friday the Mechanics take on the Kalamazoo Wings and Quad City Mallards. Wednesday is Ladies Night presented by 94.7 WCSX and MB Jewelers and Friday is Radio Disney night. Both games start at 7:30 pm.
All Seats are only $5 for the remainder of the month. Tickets are on sale at the "Garage" Box office located at the Great Lakes Sports City Hockey Arena on Utica Road in Fraser.
