Motor City Mechanics News Release

FRASER, Mi.- April 6, 2006- The Motor City Mechanics of the United Hockey League are pleased to announce that the McDonald's warm up jerseys will be auctioned off immediately following the last regular season game on Saturday April 15th.

The jerseys feature both the Mechanics and McDonald's logos as well as the logo for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The Mechanics have worn the jerseys before every game throughout the 2005-2006 season. The three core programs of RMHC - the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile - are focused on helping families in need.

The cornerstone Ronald McDonald House program began in 1974 based on a simple idea: Provide a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Since that time, more than 10 million families around the world have benefited from the comfort provided by a Ronald McDonald House.

The Mechanics face off against the Port Huron Flags at 7:30pm for the last regular season home game. The Mechanics are also celebrating Easter at the Garage with an Easter egg hunt and plenty of prizes for the kids!!! There will also be a children's coloring contest where the winner will receive a free membership into the Sparkplugs Kid's Club. For more information please contact Shannon Green, Director of Community Relations and Promotions, at 866-997-PUCK (7825).
