FRASER, MI- The Motor City Mechanics looked to stop their three game losing streak tonight against the Missouri River Otters at the Garage in front of 1,430 fans, but lose 4-2.
In the first period it was the River Otters who jumped out into the lead first. Damian Surma, who returns to Michigan, scored at 4:02. Assisting on the goal was Frank Littlejohn and JP Beilsten. The Mechanics managed to outshoot the River Otters 16 to 9 in the first period.
It was more River Otter offense in the second period as the Otters would add three more goals to the scoreboard. Lars Petterson would score twice in the second. One at 7:06 and at 17:34. At 18:49 Frank Littlejohn would tally the third goal of the period. Through two periods of play the Mechanics out shot the River Otters 26 to 22.

Mike Burgoyne (3) would score at 4:15 and Chris Gignac (4) scored at 6:27 on the power play to cut the lead in half.
