The Mechanics officially open training camp today in Fraser. Coach Danton Cole and the Mechanics open camp carrying over a 12 Game Winning streak from last season. Here are some important dates and activities taking place:

*Thursday, October 13th Pre-Season Hockey Mechanics Vs Muskegon Fury 7:30pm Troy Sports Center on Big Beaver Road. Tickets are only $ 10.00 with the proceeds benefiting the Clark Park Hockey Kids. We will be raising money throughout the night for the Clark Park Hockey Kids. Post Game party "Meet the Mechanics" at Joe Kools next to the Troy Sports Center. All Mechanics players will be available for free autographs. Plus, the Red Wings face off against the LA Kings from LA at 10:30 featuring former Mechanics Sean Avery playing for the Kings and of course former Mechanic Chris Chelios playing for the Red Wings. TICKETS FOR ALL MECHANICS HOME GAMES INCLUDING THE PRESEASON GAMES AND THE OPENING WEEKEND GAMES ON OCTOBER 28TH MCDONALDS PUCK NIGHT AND THE OCTOBER 29TH SVS VISION MAGNET SCHEDULE NIGHTS ARE ON SALE NOW AT THE GARAGE AND TICKETMASTER OR BY CALLING THE MECHANICS AT 866-997-PUCK!

Thursday, October 13 2-4pm SVS Vision Optical Center of Fraser located right across the street from the Garage! WCSX will be at SVS with Coach Danton Cole and Mechanics staff at 2pm. Register to win the SVS Vison/WCSX/Detroit Autoscene Improve Your View front row seats to the Mechanics Home Opener. At each home game one lucky fan will win Front Row Seats, be introduced to the crowd, and win a free pair of cool Sunglasses from SVS Vision. Registration at all area SVS Vision locations starts on Thursday, October 13.

Friday, October 14 6:30pm Great Lakes Sports City, Superior Arena (The Garage, Mechanics home ice) Fraser Figure Skating Club Halloween Spooktacular!!!! This will be a very entertaining Halloween show put on by very talented group of skaters. I encourage everyone to check out the Fraser Figure Skating Club this Friday at the Garage! Saturday, October 15 Pre-Season Game # 2 at Muskegon 7:00pm

Tuesday, October 18 3-5pm Meet the Mechanics at Christian Financial Credit Union Roseville located at Utica and Gratiot. WYCD will be on hand with free food and prizes and Mechanics players signing autographs. This is a great after school activity. All kids 12 and younger are eligible to sign up for the Christian Financial Credit Union/WYCD/Comcast Spotlight Captain of the Game. Two lucky kids will be chosen as honorary Mechanics Captains for each home game. The winners will receive: 4 tickets, an autographed pennant, a Captain of the Game T-shirt, will get to meet the Mechanics Captain, and will be introduced at center ice just prior to the National Anthem.

Friday, October 21 Mechanics play season opener on road against Missouri.

Friday, October 28th Mechanics Home Opener vs Kalamazoo 7:30pm McDonald's Puck Giveaway courtesy of McDonald's and 106.7 the Drive Special Appearance by Ronald McDonald, Ronald will be signing autographs during the intermission. Don't miss the Schwan's Ice Cream Toss, or the BD'S MONGOLIAN BARBECUE DANCE FOR YOUR DINNER! Debut of the Mechanics/McDonald's Ronald McDonald House Charities Warm-up Jerseys.

Saturday, October 29th vs Port Huron Flags 7:30pm SVS Vision Optical Centers/Macomb Daily/WYCD Magnet Schedule Night KIDS COSTUME PARADE ON THE ICE AND TRICK OR TREAT WITH THE MECHANICS ON THE ICE AFTER THE GAME! All kids are encouraged to wear their costumes, join in on the 2nd Intermission Costume Parade and stick around after the game to trick or treat with the Mechanics on the ice. Plus one lucky fan will win a $ 400 Travel Voucher from Bob Neugebauer Travel. This is must see hockey against the Mechanics rival from Port Huron.
