
Roanoke Valley Vipers begin training camp for inaugural season at Roanoke Civic Center

ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Valley Vipers, member of the United Hockey League, (UHL), announced that training camp for the 2005-06 season will begin today, Monday October 10, 2005.
The on-ice sessions scheduled for the next two weeks will be open to the public, and will take place at the Roanoke Civic Center from 9:00a.m.-11:00a.m., and again from 1:00p.m.-3:00p.m. The Vipers will take the ice for the morning session only on Friday, October 14. The team will travel to Richmond after the morning skate to play their first exhibition game against the rival RiverDogs at 7:35p.m. They will play again on Saturday, October 15, also at 7:35p.m. Both games will take place at SkateNation Plus on West Broad Street in Richmond. Tickets to both games can be purchased through the RiverDogs front office by calling (804) 225-PUCK (7825).
The Vipers' training camp roster includes the following players: Goaltenders Jamie Hodson, Aaron McKenzie, Shawn Conschafter; Defensemen Ricco Fatticci, Matt Kenny, Jesse Baraniuk, Travis Smith, Jim Quilty, Nathan Riddell, Tim Schneider, Alex Jerofejevs, Branislav Kvetan; Forwards David Beauregard, Gray Shaneberger, Patrick Doherty, Brendon Clark, Matt Miller, Michael Krelove, Steve Crusco, Jan Jas, Mark Scott, Tyler Statham, David Shillington, Tom Stone, Josh Tataryn, Petr Jelinek, Paul Benes, Joey Mullen.
