Mechanics hire new equipment manager

FRASER, MI- The Motor City Mechanics, proud members of the United Hockey League (UHL) are pleased to announce the hiring of new Equipment Manager, Mark Kincher and the return of Trainer, John Caloia.

The Salt Lake City, Utah native comes to the Motor City after spending the past four out of six years with the Utah Grizzlies, now of the ECHL, as their Assistant Equipment Manager.

Kincher spent two years at Brigham Young University (BYU) studying business and while with the Grizzlies he joined the Society of Professional Hockey Equipment Managers organization (SPHEM).

Caloia, a Michigan native, returns to the Motor City Mechanics after spending the inaugural season with the team. Caloia is a 1996 graduate of Lake Superior State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and a minor in psychology. He came to the Motor City last season after working as the trainer for the Jacksonville University football team, the University of South Florida, and five years at Allen Park High School.

The Mechanics open the 2005-06 season October 21st when they visit the Missouri River Otters and come join the Mechanics for opening weekend when they face off against the Kalamazoo Wings on Friday October 28th, and the Port Huron Flags on Saturday October 29th.

Every fan that enters the Garage on October 28th will receive a complimentary opening night collectible game puck sponsored by McDonald's. Opening night is also a youth hockey celebration as all youth teams are encouraged to come join the fun and participate in the first intermission team parade, and meet McDonald's own, Ronald McDonald!
