
McParland Returns to the Ice Flyers

PENSACOLA, Fla.- The Pensacola Ice Flyers and head coach Kevin Hasselberg have announced that the team has re-signed left wing Nick McParland.
"Nick is a tremendous addition to our roster," said Hasselberg. "We will lean on Nick's experience to assist with the development of our team as we continue to improve. We fully expect him to continue to build on the previous success he's had."
McParland, a native of Schreiber, Ontario, returns to the Ice Flyers for his third season. Over the past two seasons, McParland has averaged a point per game, putting up 25 goals and 24 assists along with 21 penalty minutes (PIM) and a +14 plus/minus rating in 49 games. During those two seasons, McParland also saw extended time in the ECHL. After 11 games with Pensacola last year, McParland was called up to the Brampton Beast where he appeared in 49 games. During his time with the Beast, he had 13 goals, 15 assists, 12 PIM, and a +1 rating.
McParland will be in the lineup tonight as the Ice Flyers take on the Peoria Rivermen inside Carver Arena at the Peoria Civic Center at 7:05 p.m. McParland will wear number 19. Fans interested in watching tonight's game can do so at SPHLLive.com.
